Yes, they will use proper force - I work a half block outside the security forces' "Red Zone", and well within the "Yellow Zone". They are fencing in the Red Zone starting this week. If you as a pedestrian are in the Red Zone after June 21 then you will be stopped by security forces and asked to provide photo ID and the reasons for your being there - or you will be forcibly removed and interogated elsewhere (according to a friend in the Ontario Provincial Police.) Riot police on foot and on horseback armed with guns, tasers, and clubs will keep the peace at the edges of the Red Zone.
Peaceful protesters will be allowed to stand at the edge of the fence - but the security forces are preparing for violent anarchists looking for a fight, and they won't be tolerated.
