Default D8 Conference Thread

This is something I try to follow every year, but I've missed the last couple. Looks like they're off with a bang tonight.

I'm trying to find a schedule, but here's the speaker list for now. I'm a bit disappointed they couldn't get Larry Page or Eric Schmidt out for this. It would have been fun to see a showdown with Steve Ballmer.

Would have been nice to hear from the CEO of GM too.

Speakers
Tim Armstrong | Chairman and CEO of AOL
Steve Ballmer | CEO of Microsoft
Lloyd Braun | Co-owner of BermanBraun
Steve Burke | COO of Comcast
James Cameron | Director, Producer, Writer
Steve Case | Chairman and CEO of Revolution
Peter Chou | CEO of HTC
John Donahoe | President and CEO of eBay
Julius Genachowski | Chairman of the FCC
Paul Jacobs | CEO of Qualcomm
Steve Jobs | CEO of Apple
Jeffrey Katzenberg | CEO of Dreamworks Animation SKG
Steven Levitan | Co-Creator and Executive Producer of “Modern Family”
Alan Mulally | CEO of Ford
Ray Ozzie | Chief Software Architect of Microsoft
Richard Rosenblatt | Co-Founder, Chairman and CEO of Demand Media
Vivian Schiller | President and CEO of NPR
Paul Steiger | Editor-in-Chief, President and Chief Executive of ProPublica
Mark Zuckerberg | Founder and CEO of Facebook

Whoops. Forgot the clicky part: http://d8.allthingsd.com

So far only the Evil One™ has spoken. He usually gets the opening slot at these things. There isn't much for live video (none at all, in fact), but all popular tech sites are featuring running blogs with various levels of commentary and photos. Also, All Things D (the hosts) push video up pretty quick after a speaker is done.

There should be lots to talk about from this one. Some really interesting speakers on deck.
