That would be utopia for them, and they would still get their big salaries from being on the boards of directors for these private institutions even if there wasn't complete privatization. The downside to it is that there would be some "public" hospitals that would be ghetto-like, overcrowded, understaffed to the point that nobody would get the care they needed. The insurance premiums to support a private health care system would be so high that people working at standard jobs might not be able to afford them. And forget about employer-paid insurance premiums...they aren't in business to lose money like that. You'll be on your own. And cross your fingers that there aren't too many people who can't afford private hospitals needing something from the public one the same time you do, or if you think the waits are bad now....but the upside is that some of the people ahead of you might die waiting, so you'll move up the list.
