At the end of the day, it doesn't matter what the coach can do but rather the players. We shouldn't be content with a squad that needs a great coach to get the desired results. Win with an average coach would take alot of funding which is another issue. I still think coaching at the top level is the key.

Look at Italy the World Champions. Two years later they have Donadoni and they're absolutely lost. Embarassing Euro 2008. Lippi is back now and they should be back in contention. An average coach would be exposed pretty quick no matter how good a team is.
