I need to rewatch the pilot & finale. But here are a few thoughts that people have tocuhed upon

Walt was a child, children's innocence would mean that Walt wasn't flawed like the rest of the cast. The show made a big deal about the seperation of children & adults. Perhaps that's why Walt wasn't there, he wasn't flawed *like* the rest were

Michael wasn't there as he didn't do enough to redeem himself to get to the church. Ihe meeting was the will of Hurley, surely his #2 would be aware of it, and perhaps redeemed himself to get to go but opted not to now that he once again has Alex (like Elouise). Perhaps he just doesn't feel worthy?

I don't think Jack died at the start, I think it was fitting for him to die where he first woke up on the island. A nice little open & close in the same way.

It always ends the same, eveything else is just progress. This is important, haven't figure out why yet
