Not to be a dick - but there was real fighting in Western Europe as well. The Soviets did suffer a great deal but that was in large part due to the purges and poor military leadership in the early years of the war. I think many are guilty of dismissing the Russian contribution to the war effort out of ignorance whereas you seem to be intentionally ignoring the Western fronts contributions.
