What bothers me most about this is their way of enforcing it as I heard on CJAY92. They had a spokesperson on and she was saying they are going to be searchign vehicles for alcohol.

That means even if you have a 6 pack to drink over your 3 days, it's getting confiscated.

The other thing that bothers me is, yes, fine there are other camp sites. Great- most people find a campsite they love, even a spot in said campsite that they love, and try to go there every time.

So now you have people who have been meeting at campsite A for 5 years, 10 years, what have you- and this ban basically ruins it for them because they have to choose a new location that they havent been to before etc.

I just don't understand how things like this get passed without a word going out to the public. From this thread alone you can see that people are polarized on this issue, yet noone knows a thing about it until it's passed.

So next year, people who enjoy beer camping need to go lobby the gov't to eff off and let us have our beer? Maybe we should quietly lobby them to ban kids from certain sites, and see how all these parents like beeing banished from their favorite spots because of a few brats?
