I was at Craftsteak in the MGM (Tom Colichio's place) in December and it was phenomenal. The wine is overpriced, but it is at most nice Vegas restaurants. I ate at the Top of the World resturant at the Stratosphere last week. Everything was phenomenal. The service, food, wine and music were all great. The best part was being up 106 floors and looking out over Vegas. Our bill was $192 for two surf and turfs, asparagus, lava cake and a $54 bottle of wine. After dinner we walked up to the lounge level on 107. It was such a good time we went back to 107 Friday night for a glass of wine with a view.
There are a lot of great restaurants with the MGM having a bunch. It's all a little pricey, but no more than you'd find at a fine dining in Calgary. Most of the restaurants directly on the strip are for tourists, but if you go into the hotel and casinos there are great ones.
