Definitely not a 777, AC is not operating them on any of the routes out of YYC right now (AC heavies right now are A333, and 767's out of YYC). British Airways is also just a 767 right now. KLM an A332, and Lufthansa with the A343.

We do get a few cargo 747 operators in on a regular schedule, Cargolux and Asiana. It may have been one of them, or it could have been Kelowna Flightcraft's DC-10, that is another classic and makes more noise than the typical modern jetliner.

Or as stated above some of the older cargo 727's can make quite a racket, Purolator's in particular. They usually rattle my windows a bit if they start their turn to the west closer to downtown.

Go to this website and you can see all the incoming and departing traffic for YYC. It is not always 100% accurate and real time tracking has a lag of about 5 minutes.
