There is no such thing as great food in Vegas - anything on the Strip is designed to take money out of tourist pockets with fairly mediocre overpriced fare. If you want good food, try Thai Village just past the Stratosphere, though be careful in that area. Otherwise, the Jewish deli at the MGM just next to the poker room is your best bet for reasonable food. Sorry if this is pessimistic, but I've been there many times, and tried many different restaurants, and it's all in the same vein..
