Beta can be viewed with a coax USB TV tuner. I have a VCR plugged into mine. I have a USB turntable for vinyl. You CAN play Atari on the PS3 and Wii. The only reason I remotely like the PS3/XB360/Wii is because I can play old games on them. I play PS3 with a Sega Saturn USB gamepad. New games and new things suck! I'm old! (actually, I'm probably younger than Fanin80).
Maybe I don't hate Apple. I just hate new things.
