Okay... but why is that land German? It was Polish before the Teutonic knights conquered it for what would be Prussia so there is an equal argument that that land is indeed Polish. It all depends on your historical frame of reference. A unified Germany didn't even exist before 1871. Stating that parts of modern-day Poland are indisputedly German echoes the same claims that the Third Reich had made in justifying their invasion in 1939.

And it wasn't too long ago Canada didn't exist either. If you go back far enough, everywhere was conquered at least a few times by someone, from someone else. It's stupid for someone to think of their "ancestral homeland", as it's generally a fairytale. An evil fairytale, that causes grown men to get greedy for what they think they can justify taking from the only people who actually matter - the people currently there.
