Jin's character has always been preached as the guy who is always looking after his wife, even controlling, like he was early on in the first season. After all they have been through I can see why Jin would not leave her. Besides every time he has not been by her side things haven't gone so well. (ie: season 1 raft trip to get captured, the rig explosion).
