i have lived in PRestwick/NB for over 10 yers now:
Here is my $0.02:
- I leave teh house at 7ish, drop the kids off at a dayhome in Copperfield, drive to teh shop (whcih is at 9st and 6th ave SW) and am sitting in my chair on a normal day at 7.50. I leave the office at 4.15, pick up the wife and kids and am home at 5.05 on a normal day - if it is a snow day, then add several hours to teh trip. My route is a mix of deerfoot, blackfoot and highfield
- PRetty much every store you could ever need is now on 130 th ave
- Lots of resturants on 130th (most aremiddleof the raod chain places) - the donair shop in Mac Towne is quite good
- Whoever designed the gong show know as South Trail Shopping Ctr (where Co-Op) is should ahve his engineering liscense revoked
- there is a fee to live in NB (~$250) which funds the club. clubs has tennis courts, a splash pad, beach VB and a pretty decent ice rink where there is a surprsing amount of shinny in the winter
- Gym and otehr stuff in Mac Towne
- the bus trip to and fromw downtown is about an hour
- cab ride from downtown is about $55
- I can't recall any unusual smells from the dump - but I suppose there could be a couple of bads days so perhaps I need to see a doctor.
- relatively safe (I one left my front door unlocked for a week) - although not long ago a neighbor did have his car stolen
- deerfoot can be both a blessing and a b!tch
