I drive downtown 5 days a week, and it's always 35 minutes each way at 8:00 a, and 4:30 pm. Unless it's snowing of course. Then I just work from home. It's simple really...you live and die by the deerfoot. Most days it's acceptable, but if anything goes bad, you are screwed. Construction has begun on the ring road though, so there is a tiny light at the end of the tunnel.

Every time I drive be there, there are a bunch of huge trucks parked out front. I assume it's construction guys from the hospital maybe?
Cranston is very family friendly though. 8 parks with playground equipment, the pathway system is excellent, and the new community centre is excellent. For example, they built 2 skating rinks - one for older kids/adults to play hockey, and one for small children.
