I find people are so full of crap when talking about their communities. I've lived in the South, the North, and downtown.

The Deep South absolutely sucks for a commute (only one route), has no public transportation for those who like to indulge in a few drinks on the weekend, unless you live right in MacKenzie there is screw all for shopping/groceries/entertainment in your own neighbourhood, and if you work downtown you have atleast an hour commute each way. I don't care what some people are posting on here, but I work downtown and I lived there. It's an hour each way to Cranston from downtown no ifs, ands, or buts about it.

The North has everything you need in your community, the commute is a breeze (I'd be at my house in Rocky Ridge in 25 minutes no questions asked), public transportation is excellent, but the weather absolutely sucks (always double the snow and a few degrees colder, and the wind drove me absolutely crazy), and I'm none to keen about the high school situation out there because I didn't work all my life to have my kids go to high school with the hoods in Bowness (although there are some excellent elementary schools that are brand new).

My choice would be to live in the North, but that's just my personal preference (as a working professiona, personally I think you'd be nuts to move from Westhills to the deep south if you work downtown). I just get a little riled up when people on here feel the need to bend the truth to make where they live shine in a brigter light.

On a side note, for those of you that live in Cranston, that's a nice new pub that Berwick House, but good god is there ever a lot of a D-bags that frequent it. Even saw a scrap outside there the other night. Where are they all coming from? When I was in Cranston it was sort of a family neighboorhood, not a place for the riggers to get smashed on the weekend. I'm surprised they weren't having drag races in the parking lot.
