I have built 2 new homes in the last 3 years (neither was built by Cedarglen) and I can totally understand where the customer is coming from. These homebuilders treat you great until they have your money. After that you can forget any kind of good service. It takes countless phone calls and emails to get them to complete anything. It can be a very frustrating process and in my experience the homebuilders don't handle issues very well at all.
The second they have your money any thread of customer service or sense of urgency to fix things goes right out the window.
I was glad to get that email last week. I think that is going to make all the homebuilders in the city smarten up and realize the customers can do something to fight back. Hopefully it starts improving the service.
As far as the lawsuit goes I think that is suicide for Cedarglen. What is launching a lawsuit going to do to help them? The damage is already done. A lawsuit is just going to get them more bad press and further damage their reputation.
Who is going to want to build with a company that sues their clients?
