If this is what really happened, then I cannot blame Ireland one iota for the follow up question that has many up in arms.
Just a weird deal all around.

And now Bryant's people are saying those are lies.
It has turned into a he said/she said, with some media outlets saying the Dolphins version is true and other outlets saying if that was the case why did Ireland apologize so quickly then try to let a few leaks spin out this story.
I don't know who is true, Bryant isn't known for being the most upstanding citizen, but the way the Dolphins have handled it seems weird (this story coming through leaks, the only official thing said has been the apology).
