Having never done it (and been caught - I kid, I kid), I'm not familiar with the insurance implications. Would having something like this on your driving record jack your insurance up? Would it be a considerable amount?
Taking a $575 fine up the rear end wouldn't be nice, but I wonder if it would be the kind of thing that might cost you a lot more in the long run.
