Figured this could go here.
Nemisz: Probably one of the best games I've seen Nemisz play. He's very smart at manaing the puck, especially in the offensive zone. He's dominating down-low along the boards and uses his frame very well to protect the puck. Moves the puck very well and finds the open man, while carrying the puck in the offensive zone, whether back to the point or across the seam to another forward at the top of the circles. Can throw big hits when he wants to, but doesn't as much you would like. His bigest flaw right now is a complete lack of first step quickness. Once he get's going he has a decent top speed and acceleration, but he has no "pop" in his game. However, he uses his stick very well in all three zones and never gets caught deep in the offensive zone if the other two forwards are past the top of the circles, he's at the top of the slot. Played center last night and controlled the play that led to the 'spits first goal he basically had the puck for about 20 seconds in the Kitchener end and and skated from behind the net to the high slot while protecting the puck before unleashing a very good shot that Hall tipped.
Brodie:Brodie has been asked to take on more of a 2 way role in Barrie and has done a solid job. He's very much like a Bouwmeester-lite where he's just very solid at both ends of the ice, he's just not going end to end because they play ba much more structured system in there vs. Saginaw where I think the reins were completely off.
