If you playing at 5:00 PM and people are bitching I wouldn't do anything about it. I'd keep doing it, and then look to see if any neighbors are watching than go yell at them.
Honestly, if people are bitching at 5:00PM for noise, they have to be the most prickish person imaginable.
I got something sort-of-not-really-similar. One day Bi-Law came to our house and said we had 7 days to cut down our tree because it was too big or going over the fence. The thing that really pissed me off is that someone couldn't grow a pair of balls and just come talk to us. Effing cowards, angers me way more than it should. I find those people are just pathetic shallow worthless humans.
Edit: Just saw the posts above me. Well, like I said I'd continue to do it (for like a day or two) and see if anyone is watching, then go talk to them.
