i can recall reading a comment in the paper from a guy who mentioned how "loud pipes save lives" and how he would rev his bike to warn inattentive drivers etc and that made me laugh as all I could think of is that if I am driving my SUV and we have an accident, I think that you are likely goign to lose - regardless of your loud pipes that really do nothing but annoy folk.

if i am in my vehicle and i have the windows closed, the a/c blowing, some music on and the kids are bickering - if you are behid me on my right it is highly unlikely i'll hear you at all - so once again why annoy the ordinary folk would happen to live near a street where you drive by.

despite the fact I live about a 10 to 15 minute wallk off of Deerfoot, I have no trouble hearing vehicles with loud pipes. I think that only 12 yr old boys are truly impressed by that sound.

anways, to the majority of bikers who have not wasted thier money on loud pipes - thanks.......
