Ok...so to continue the off topic discussion from the CP motorcycle ride thread, and honor Pylon's request.

Seriously, the anti-motorcyclists that have chimed in on this thread are making it worse for themselves. If there are no useful suggestions for the riders, then they take it as just b!tching and complaining, and will ignore it. Trust me, they know that there's a hate on for them, so they'll take it as that unless something constructive comes out of it.
*For the record, I'm 99% sure I won't go on this ride, but I don't see anything wrong with the idea.

Of course I don't have a suggestion. Probably because there is no suggestion. It's a democracy, and you can ride wherever the hell you want.
Cowperson's point was that locals living in those towns are getting sick of the drug store bikers invading their airspace every bloody weekend. I can only imagine how much it would piss me off to. You live out in a small, quiet town and have to listen to that crap starting at 9 am Saturday morning, probably ending at 9 pm Sunday night. It'd be one thing to hear a bike or two once in a while, but they listen to that $hit all weekend long. Of course no one can go out there alone either, it has to be in packs of 20 or more, hence the noise. Oh yeah, and tell me how many ARE'NT crackin' their pipes, and acting like tools during those 36 some odd hours?
Maybe the suggestion is if guys that gotta go on group rides, pack your transformer lunchbox full of goodies, and stay the hell out of those towns so all 20 of ya are'nt pissing off the locals. Either that, or head on over to the greasy truckstop on highway 2 for you're bloody lunch. Is that so tough to figure out? If you want to head to those towns, do it on you're own, or with one other bike.
There's your suggestions....numb nuts.
