Either way, Vernon's injury's were primarily in his wrist. I doubt we'll see any huge improvement in his fielding - especially considering the guy is now getting into his 30's. The Jays as an organization really need to recognize that Vernon's not a CF anymore. With the amount of time left on his contract, the Jays simply can't afford to be hampered by his poor defense because they don't want to upset Wells by moving him to a corner.

Sorry but Wells has always been a above average CF in terms of defense, the element that was missing from his game the last few years was not his defense but its his offense (Average, HR, RBI, On Base percentage etc)
