EDIT: Correcting myself . . . . . my father gave me a subscription to National Geographic in 1979 and I've kept it up ever since. When he died, I acquired his Geo's from 1963 through 1978. So I have a big yellow bookcase in my home office and some individual copies from 1929.

I usually read stuff on-line and, if there's a cost, like a lot of the Wall St. Journal as an example, I don't bother.

I browse and read a lot through the day, lots of newspapers and magazines.

I have been using my Kindle to get two-week free trial subscriptions to newspapers when I'm away on holidays and don't have ready internet access.

I haven't seen anyone's opinion that is actually worth paying for. Most likely the person who costs money to view has a parrot who's free somewhere else.

That's the curse of the net.
