For us in SK, fishing season opens on May 8th for the south... and I am getting very, very excited. Looking to spark some conversation on the topic.

It is about that time of year where I hold off as long as I possibly can to go to the fishing store because I know there will be multiple trips the sooner I go..

I think I might treat myself to a new set up this year, I have been using the same $60 shakespeare crap reel for about 6 years, waiting for it to break so I can justify spending 150+.

I also think this year I might try to get into fly fishing, it looks like a lot of fun and there is definitely not a shortage of rivers in Sask.

What is the best brand for fly fishing reels?
