I hardly think that the referee was the deciding factor here. If anything - other that Spurs' seeming inability to rise to the occasion in big games - it was the state of the pitch. It has been in dreadful condition for some time now and is quite embarrassing for a national stadium.

Goalkeepers get the benefit of that call (foul on James) 99/100 times - today was no exception. Whether anyone likes it or not, by today's Premiership standards, that was a clear foul on the keeper.
