I've heard from many people that swear by saying you've had nothing. I have one buddy who is pretty bad for drinking and driving (spare the insults, I'm not passing them on to him
), and he said he's twice gone through a checkstop and said he had nothing, and got let go.
I called BS, but I was with him awhile ago when he had a few, and we hit a checkstop, and sure as ****, cop says "Have you had anything to drink?". He just made sure not to talk/breathe into the cops face and said "nothing". The cop looked a little suspicious, and stared at him for a couple of seconds, and just "okay, have a good night". So who knows.
