Most likely if you had 3 beers over three hours the cops would have no idea.
Cops are dumb and don't care about stopping drinking and driving so unless you force them to arrest you most likely if you go through a check stop tell them you had nothing and they will wave you through so they don't have to worry about paperwork/court.
