Pier 59 is a rip off. Avoid it. Check out the Exploratorium. Not sure why Peter12 is saying avoid the trolley cars. They're expensive, but there's only so many ways one can pretend to be Danny Tanner in the city of gay love. Beautiful city, but always cold. Unless you go when I did and it hits 100 degrees for four days straight for the first time in four decades.
