There are a few unique-like foods in this part of the world.

Grits...usually served with butter and salt and pepper. My wife grew up mixing them with fish roe and when she makes that, I literally have to leave the house. The smell alone grosses me out.

biscuits and gravy for breakfast (reallly good but so unhealthy)


Fried chicken like no other I have tasted...so good.

Ramps...again something I cannot stand...so pungent and overpowering.
