I read somewhere that ether and Circus Circus are a pretty good combination.
On a more serious note, Freemont Street is always a nice break/reality check after a few days on the strip. I've been recommended the prime rib dinner at the Golden Nugget and if there are any first timers they can load up on all the novelty Vegas crap they desire.
I'm heading there myself in about ten days with my girlfriend so I've also been checking out entertainment/food etc. A friend recommended the aquarium at Mandalay Bay and we might also check out the bodies exhibit. It's a little pricey but again I've heard great things.
If you want to watch sports and grab a bite hit the ESPN zone at the NY NY. The booths have touch screen tv's that allow you to choose between 12 games at once. If your table's hungry order the Tailgate Platter and get fat yo!
