Actually I agree with Flip on this one. Strong opinions (for better or worse) get far more thanks than thoughtful, non-confrontational posts.
I suppose that is why media so often seems confrontational - an unbiased, middle-of-the-road report is ignored, a report filled with rhetoric and bombast elicits a strong response from both for and against positions..
