When many people really really like something, it tends to become mainstream. But yeah, post your own, please.

EDIT: and on that note, I'll post a few tracks of my own. These are not necessarily what I'd consider "the bestest stuff evar!", but stuff that has really opened up horizons for me.

Songs that are definitely in this category but I couldn't find a link to:

Vicente Amigo: "De Blanco y Oro" (you can google it for a propably illegal free download)

Lightnin' Hopkins: "California Mudslide"

ABBA: "Voulez-Vous". I know, I know, you can find this trivially on the internet, but if you don't listen to it at hi-fi quality, propably as a recent remaster, you're really not hearing how absolutely brilliant this is. The peak of pop-production!

CMX: "Nainen tanssii tangoa" Punk-metal and traditional tango united. Totally blew me away 16 years ago.

This is "Min Skog" by the Swedish band Hedningarna pretty much how I got into the modern folk scene.

When I first heard this I totally cracked up; still one of the most ridiculous metal tracks. Love it. Really pushed me forward on my journey to metal.

This is another essential metal track for me. Effin rocks.

Actually I wanted to put the song "Requiem" here, also a Serge Gainsbourg cover by Mick Harvey, but this is marvelous stuff too.

One of my all-time favourite "F U!!!" songs Dumb and simple.

This movie was a mind-blowing experience at a point in my life.

Really no special reason. Just hit me.

I think I loved this album about 30 seconds into it.

Another artist that tons of bands have tried to copy, unsuccesfully. I love how the lyrics are just complete dada A classic, of course.

In 1994 this was hot stuff. The song is "Mad Boy" by Waltari, a Finnish band. Still not bad.

A Tom Waits song sung by Crystal Gayle (from the album "One from the Heart") (dorky video, sorry)

"kick back, dig, while we do it to you in your eardrums"

My most recent love is Meshell Ndegeocellos album "Peace Beyond Passion". Fantastic from one end to the other. This is just the one track that first caught my ear. (Yeah, I know it's a cover.)

I guess that's enough flood from me at this point
