The manager of teen pop star Justin Bieber was arrested Wednesday for refusing to warn fans on Twitter about overcrowding at a shopping mall event, narrowly avoiding a "horrible disaster," authorities said.
Police asked Braun to send out a Twitter message from Bieber's account telling fans not to come, but Braun refused, even changing the account's password so "he could control the event," the office said.
I realize he was refusing police orders, and I'm not posting this because I feel it was wrong, as it sounds like he knew of the dangers and wanted more people to show up anyways. I'm simply posting because the idea of being arrested for "Failure to Tweet" made me laugh out loud.
I guess it just underlines how big Twitter has become.
"So what are you in for?"..."I killed a guy"
"What about you?"..."Armed Robbery"
..."and what about you in the corner there? Yeah you!"...."I uh....got arrested for not tweeting a message to a bunch of young girls."
