Yeah, because allowing someone to speak, is the same as giving them a "big welcome".
Every article about Calgary/Alberta they write about spins the headline and story into a giant hate-on. It seems to generate a lot of hits and comments on their website stoking this pervasive anti-Alberta sentiment. It was the same thing when Bush came to speak. The commentary was that
only in Alberta, would Bush be welcomed to speak!! A month later he spoke to a sold out audience in Toronto. Again, when Sarah Palin came to town. Welcomed as a hero to oil country, yeeehaw!!!! yeah, right, like most Albertans see remotely eye-to-eye with someone like Palin.
God, I hate the Globe!
