This is what I was told vis a vi insurance.
Condo Board insurance covers the common area re-construction of the condo exterior and common areas. Condo owner insurance needs to cover non common area replacement. Basically everything from inner wall to inner wall and floor to ceiling (in my case concrete). This includes carpet, appliances, fixtures, etc.
I think I will check my policy when I get home just to be sure

The smoker is going to have to find a less expensive habit

. That last smoke is going to cost him/her millions as the insurance companies will pursue the individual in order to recover the money they have to spend. I can't even imagine how long it would take to garnish back the money. Not even sure an umbrella policy would do the trick here

My kids told me the cause of loss last week after it happened......likely a smoker....yup, I think your right.....
