Opposite sides of the planet. Completely different enemy. Completely different style of warfare. Completely different terrain. Completely different strategies and tactics.
Maybe the producers didn't want to simply copycat BOB. They wanted to tell this story a different way. To me it seems they are telling the story visually, instead of explaining every little thing with narration and dialog. It may backfire on them as hardcore BOB fans seem to not be too impressed. To me I don't really connect the two series. It has been eight years since I watched BOB. I look at it as something total different.
