Good point. I may be wrong about that. At my previous job, I had to transport oxygen tanks on occasion and was told by the supply company that it was illegal to have them inside a car. Maybe they were just worried about their own liability.
Either way, if one of them is punctured, it can become a dangerous projectile and/or a fire hazard.
