Just had a very interesting experience at the UofC microstore regarding apple and their craziness. I was waiting for assistance but the only guy there was helping a lady find a desktop. He was pushing her on a 27" windows PC and in doing so bashing the Apple product line something fierce. In my opinion he was a little misleading to the lady (said the base imac is $200 more than it actually is and that it doesn't have a proper media player), but really in the end I don't care that much. From what I've heard of Windows 7 it's really quite cool and a more than capable OS.

It wasn't until I talked to him about a keyboard that I figured out why the anger. See usually the microstore is pretty pro-apple, so i was confused. I was looking for a wired keyboard with a number pad but they only had the model without a number pad. I asked when they were getting a new order in and he let loose with a tirade about how Apple won't let him sell their products in the store until they do a redesign so that they can display the Apple products better.

So basically what he needs to do is sell out all his Apple gear, and then sell out all his PC gear so he has room to maneuver his store for a redesign. Only after his store is approved will they ship him apple products.

I love Apple products but that's crazy. You can already tell they've made an enemy and this particular enemy is the one who is talking to every university student looking for a new computer. Seems like a real dumb-ass move.

From Apples perspective there is an Apple branded store very close by in Market Mall.
