It really depends.. if you have a business with an idea and you want a very specific domain and someone happens to own it, lots will pay out a few thousand dollars for a domain rather than go back and re-figure out what they want.

That's what I was saying, it's not squatting because the big company that owns the actual product or whatever isn't after these domains, but smaller companies or business ventures that want to start a site with products/services related to the actual product do. No one expects to sell some domain they think of for $1 million to a big company anymore, but lots of people will spend a few hundred or a few thousand dollars to get a specific domain rather than go back through their decision making process.

Incidentally ip.ad is also available, except you must be a resident or legal entity of The Principality of Andorra lol.
