They also told me that there are only something like only 14 MM Jews in the entire world. Israel and New York City have about half of the population. The rest are spread around other US major cities like Chicago and LA then the rest of the Jews are very sparse around the world. Also, they told me that outside of Israel that Tehran has the largest population of Jews in the Middle East. In most cases, they are welcomed in Iran's society and sucessful Jewish Iranians. If true, it's odd that Israel and the US won't report that kind of info

Iran has a Jewish population that has been shrinking since the Islamic revolution of 1979.
In fairness, Iran, unlike many of its neighbors, has a constitution that guarantees equality of all religions provided they don't proselytize.
That being said, Tehran is not a friendly place for Jews, so there has been a steady flow of Iranian Jews to Israel and the US (particularly Long Island).
