No police were involved, but a few years ago in a Family Vacation, about 40 minutes outside of Calgary, I was taking a part of the drive. We were leaving a small town after a bathroom break, and we were following a 18 wheeler. We were both getting up to about 60-70 km/hr and getting closer to merging on the highway when the 18 wheeler suddenly starts sounding its horn, slows down and swerve off the road (Into the extra room that thankfully existed). I have no clue whats going on until the back of the truck is out of the way and there's this car going the wrong direction, headed straight towards me (According to my parents, it was some old lady driving the car).
Thankfully, I got off the road in time, but I'm still baffled to this day by the fact that the old lady spent a while going the wrong direction on the highway (It had to be 10-20 minutes until the next turn off).
