The snow is melting and my crappy lawn is beginning to show its ugly face.

I am looking to use one of the many lawncare companies (Green Drop, Weedman, Doctor Green, etc.) in the near future, and would greatly appreciate it if I could get some feedback from people who have used similar companies in the past.

Personally, I need weed/crab grass control. Also, the last couple years it seems like my yard is becoming more and more sparse, therefore I'll probably need some type of seed/fertilizer package. I really have no idea how to create or maintain a healthy lawn. Any recommendations?
