A) The USA we're talking about
and
B) A Civil suit, where the onus of proof is simply 'more likely than not'. i.e. Is it more likely than not that the prom was canceled to avoid having a lesbian student and her female date attend?
As I said above, I am sure that subpoenas to the school board's IT department for email / server backups could easily provide something that supports the cancellation being lesbian-related and then they're cooked.

Okay, you go right on believing all of that incorrect stuff
There's no violation of rights, there's no disparate treatment, there's no actionable offense. It doesn't matter what the motivation was, they treated everyone equally. That's the basis of the complaint, and it doesn't exist here.
