It sounds so reasonable, doesn't it? Such a modest proposal. Why not teach "both sides" and let the children decide for themselves?

It's funny that Bush wishes to see both evolution and creationism (using the less-inflammatory moniker "Intelligent Design") in the classroom and allowing students to make up their own minds, but when it comes to sex education, the only acceptable curriculum is abstinence-only. Teaching about birth control and methods to reduce the risk of contracting STDs are strictly taboo. We wouldn't want our children to make informed decisions about sexuality after hearing both sides of the issue, now, would we?
