It seems like, if they did actually do this (remove fighters), that it would have been a tad overblown. Though, it does raise the interesing question, had Quebec voted in favour of separation, what would the logistical/bureaucratic implications be? I assume the soldiers guarding the airfield would have been 'Canadian', and therefore would have protected all military equipment... would the Quebec government mobilize some sort of force to try and lay claim to Federal properties?
Who knows...? Might make a really cool movie, if it weren't for the fact that everything Canadian = boring in the entertainment world...

Come on now, didnt you see School's Out? Wheels was drinking and driving and killed a kid, who saw that coming? [/b][/quote]
For some reason I get the feeling you're talking about DeGrassi...?
If the implication is that Canadian entertainment doesn't _all_ suck... you're right... DeGrassi ruled. But only to Canadians.
As an interesting aside, I heard that Aaron Spelling orginally tried to buy DeGrassi and import it into the States, but either it wouldn't be sold or wouldn't move, so he set up Beverley Hills 90210 to be the 'US version'... interesting if true, but I've never followed the rumour up.
