I thought beef down in your neck of the woods would taste different than beef in Canada. Or at least Western Canada. Down in Texas most beef would be feed corn. Here in Canada most beef would be finished with barley and feed wheat. When I lived in Australia the beef was very different than the beef here in Canada. In Australia most of the beef is grass fed, so it is a lot leaner and tougher.

In southern Alberta here, I have noticed more and more beef producers are switching to corn for cattle feed....must be cheaper.
