Rochette is the obvious first choice.
Jasey-Jay Anderson is one that deserves some mention. The guy has been a dominant player in several disciplines of snowboarding through-out his career. He's been to all 4 Olympics (the most possible for a snowboarder) and has had solid top 5 performances, but no medals. He's helped define alpine snowboarding into a legitimate Olympic sport.
All that and he wins gold in what is more than likely the last race of his career. And he does it with a pretty big deficit going into the final leg of the gold medal race against the current world #1 needing the run of his life...and he gets it.
Pretty much the Ray Bourque of his sport.
