Agreed but Luongo has really no history of being in big games. The 2 that come to mind are the "bathroom OT debacle" and last years "7 goal nightmare" in the playoffs. So basically his only 2 times to shine have been failures on his shoulder to a large degreee. Besides that he has looked outside on the playoffs all with Florida and 1 season in Vancouver. Luongo has no playoff success or individual awards like the Vezina. Most criticism against him not being a big time goalie is usually fair game.
These Olympics are a good chance to change that. Last night he came up clutch despite being shaky and tomorrow has a chance to bury the criticism including from most of us Flames fans. Winning elimates most past failures. Go Canada!
